Ghost of a Chance is unique in that its entire soundtrack will be comprised of the work of two fictitious artists; the 70’s glam rock of Chaz Chance and the contemporary trip-hop of Moses:K, Marc Chance’s biggest client. Much of this music has already been written and demos recorded by the film‘s writer/director Johnny Daukes.

Goodbye Mother  is being constructed as an opera, with music comprising much of the film’s soundtrack. The plot and score are evolving simultaneously and these are some of the musical ‘sketches’ that are forming in Johnny Daukes’s studio.

Ghost of a Chance is a story of loss, forgiveness and redemption. Based around father and son, Chaz and Marc Chance and the mistakes that have imprisoned them in a straitjacket of guilt, rendering any relationship between the two impossible.

With a complexity and intrigue that echoes The Usual Suspects or Crash, Ghost of a Chance is an extraordinarily tense and tortuous thriller that weaves a web of blackmail, lies, bribery, love and terror that is brought to a shocking and irreconcilable conclusion.

Goodbye Mother is a musical film with a plot, score and libretto being conceived and written simultaneously. The story takes place over one day as a family gather at their dying mother’s bedside and as we learn more about the lives of the parents and offspring we realise that their roles and characters may not be all that they seem. The film will be darkly comic, recalling Little Miss Sunshine and Happiness but melded to a musical sensibility, clutchingly described as ‘Elliott Smith plays Quadrophenia’.

Goodbye Mother is currently under construction but an outline budget, synopsis and musical demos are available on request.
